Keynote Speakers Announced for SensorsGov; Inaugural Event to Take Place September 13-15, 2004, Virginia Beach, VA WELLESLEY, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- July 15, 2004 -- Advanstar Communications, Inc., producers of Sensors Expo & Conference and the publishers of Sensors magazine, is pleased to announce that they, together with the Hampton Roads' Sensor Science & Technology Forum (SS&TF), are currently gearing up for the first annual SensorsGov Conference. On Tuesday, September 14, Admiral James Loy, Secretary, Department of Homeland Security has been invited to speak on the importance of sensors in homeland security, and on Wednesday, September 15, General Roy D. Bridges, Jr., Director, NASA Langley Research Center will highlight the importance of sensors to NASA's mission. A Homeland Security Plenary Address on Tuesday, September 14 at 9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. will feature invited representatives from the Department of Homeland Security and its supporting agencies, to be introduced by Hugh Montgomery, SES, former Director of the Department of the Navy's, Science & Technology Division and currently the Executive Director of IDHS (Institute of Defense and Homeland Security). SensorsGov is the premiere sensor technology event filling the specific educational, development and resource needs of U.S. Government and Military organizations such as the Joint Forces, Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, NASA, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Commerce (DoC). The event promises to provide a valuable educational venue for sensor R&D communities across Government and Military agencies.
