CommuniGate Systems Unveils CommuniGate Pro 5.0 Programming Contest; LinuxWorld Sets the Stage for the Future of VoIP with CommuniGate Pro Demonstrations


--(Business Wire)-- CommuniGate Systems: -0- *T What: CommuniGate Systems (a division of Stalker Software) is kicking off a contest at LinuxWorld challenging all programmers to develop the best "voice application" using CG/PL (CommuniGate Programming Language). The top VoIP application developed will be packaged with the new release of CommuniGate Pro 5.0. In addition, winning submissions will be published together with the author's credentials to the CommuniGate community. CG/PL is a flexible and powerful but still very simple new procedural language that aims to tear down the old, complex (but still primitive) proprietary PBX systems by making voice systems accessible and even fun. The prizes for the top 5 submissions will be: -- $3,000 in cash, a free license of CommuniGate Pro 5.0 (100 users), and the winner's application will be shipped with the version 5.0 product. -- The four contest runners-up will receive a free license of CommuniGate Pro version 5.0 (50 users) and two Polycom SIP phones (model 501). In addition, their applications will be made available for use with CommuniGate Pro as part of our community application library. -- The Key to Email -- -- Unlocks the Power of VoIP -- -- CommuniGate Pro -- When: The contest begins at the LinuxWorld expo in San Francisco on August 8, 2005. How: All contestants need to register by September 10, 2005 at http://www.communigate.com/cgpl-contest/. CommuniGate Pro 5.0 (beta) can be downloaded at www.stalker.com/download. This trial version will allow all submitters to test their CG/PL code. All submissions must be received by September 20, 2005. Submissions should be sent via email to [email protected] as a tarball package including the CG/PL program modules (.sppr and .sppi), as well as (optionally) any media files included as part of the submission.
