TMC's INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine Names 'Top 100 Voices' of IP Communications Industry

SAN DIEGO - (Business Wire) - TMC, publishers of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine, the longest-running publication dedicated to IP communications, unveiled today their list of the “Top 100 Voices” in IP Communications, as selected by their editorial team. The announcement was made as TMC prepares to open INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO West 2006 at the San Diego Convention Center.

Launched in February 1998, INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine is the longest-running publication 100 percent dedicated to coverage of IP communications. The list is the centerpiece of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine's landmark 100th issue, which is published today.

According to Rich Tehrani, TMC president and group-editor-in-chief, it is the efforts of the Top 100 Voices that have enabled the IP communications industry - and INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine - to flourish and grow for the past nine years.

“Our committee looked back over the course of the last decade, and came up with 100 people who we felt should be counted among the Top 100 Voices. Some were present at the beginning. Some are newer participants in our fast-growing market space. The common thread among all of the Top 100 Voices is that they played a part in the birth, growth and maturity of the IP Communications market, and - carried upon the shoulders of this community - the next generation of communications will evolve to heights we have yet to imagine,” explained Tehrani.

Greg Galitzine, INTERNET TELEPHONY's Editorial Director, added, “In 1997, we began to work on our inaugural issue of the magazine that would grow to become the leading publication covering VoIP and IP Communications. In October 2006, we celebrate our milestone 100th issue. This special edition takes a look back at the past nine years of growth and progress in IP communications and identifies those leading voices and proponents who played an instrumental role in moving our industry forward.”

In addition to being profiled in the magazine, the “Top 100 Voices” will be honored at a special reception hosted by Rich Tehrani during INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO West 2006 in San Diego - which begins tomorrow at the San Diego Convention Center (www.itexpo.com).
