BRIEF: Mellanox to collaborate with NASA

Aug 12, 2010 (Globes - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- InifiBand developer Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:MLNX; TASE:MLNX) will provide a high-performance server and storage networking for the new NASA Center for Climate Simulation (NCCS) at the Goddard Space Flight Center. The NCCS cluster will have the computational capability to fine-tune global model resolutions, capturing smaller-scale features in the atmosphere and oceans so that researchers can better understand and predict climate change.

Goddard's computational and information sciences and technology office director Phil Webster invited Mellanox chairman, president and CEO Eyal Waldman to visit NASA's Johnson Space Center in Texas. So far as is known, the visit does not involve a trip to space.

Mellanox's share price fell 1.1 percent to $14.19 at the opening on Nasdaq today, after falling 3 percent on the TASE to NIS 56.75.
