China Mobile, Microsoft Join Hands in Cloud Computing


BEIJING, Dec 17, 2010 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- China Mobile Limited, the largest mobile telecom operator in the nation, on December 17, 2010 started a strategic cooperation with global software giant Microsoft, intending to jointly boost the application of cloud computing in technology, market, service and other fields.



According to a strategic memo of understanding the two parties inked, the two giants will join hands in many sectors, including the cloud computing application, improving channel construction, joint marketing, enterprise overall information technology solutions, optimizing support and operation and maintenance management, mobile terminals, future technology development and industry standards, energy conservation, and technical cooperation and promotion in other related fields.

Before the move, the two parties have set foot in the cloud computing respectively. China Mobile has launched five big cloud 1.0 proudcts, and Microsoft has launched colud computing solution and service.


China Mobile Vice President Li Zhengmao showed that to establish the strategic cooperation relationship with Microsoft will be helpful for improving the information service ability.
