Fuse IDE for Camel Launched

BEDFORD, Mass. --(Business Wire)--

FuseSource Corp., the experts in open source integration and messaging, today announced that Fuse™ IDE for Camel is generally available as part of the company's Fuse Mediation Router® subscription. A trial version is available for immediate download. Fuse IDE for Camel delivers Eclipse-based tooling featuring an easy-to-use GUI. Architects and developers can use Fuse IDE for Camel in conjunction with Apache Camel or Fuse Mediation Router to visually connect software components, speeding integration and streamlining the development process.

"Our mission is to make enterprise architects and developers successful with open source integration and messaging solutions, and a big part of that is delivering corresponding tools that drive efficiency and reduce complexity," explained Larry Alston, president, FuseSource. "The introduction of Fuse IDE for Camel is just one of the ways FuseSource is making professional open source the easy choice for enterprise integration projects."

Fuse IDE for Camel offers developers and architects the following key features:

  • Integrated into Eclipse: Eclipse-based tooling allows developers and architects to use a familiar and standard development environment, eliminating a lengthy learning curve and speeding time to deployment.
  • Easy to use GUI: Eliminating the need to write code, Fuse IDE for Camel allows developers to "drag and drop" integration and mediation components, rapidly connecting systems.
  • Predefined building blocks: Fuse IDE for Camel leverages the well-known Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIPs) developed by Gregor Hohpe and Bobby Woolf and ships pre-loaded with all defined EIPs, ensuring flexibility in the development process.
  • Standard notation: All integration and mediation components in Fuse IDE for Camel use standard notation making it easy to define and reuse routes.
  • Route validation: Fuse IDE for Camel ensures that all links between nodes are validated before the link is created; If the target node is not valid, the editor will not allow the connection.
  • Deployment flexibility: Recognizing that enterprises use a variety of technologies to accomplish their development goals, Fuse IDE for Camel allows developers and architects to deploy routes into Apache ServiceMix, Fuse ESB, Spring, JEE servers or standalone JVMs.

Developers and architects interested in seeing the Fuse IDE for Camel in action have two upcoming opportunities to do so. On April 14, 2011 the company will host an introductory Fuse IDE for Camel webinar beginning at 11:00 a.m. EDT. They can also plan to attend the inaugural CamelOne Conference, taking place May 24-26, 2011, at the Westin Arlington Gateway (News - Alert), Arlington, Va. The first event of its kind, CamelOne is designed to provide professionals using open source integration and messaging solutions in the enterprise with an opportunity to meet, learn and share ideas with the experts, including founders and committers of integration and messaging projects within the Apache Software Foundation.
