BRIEF: Oregon Ducks football: Chip Kelly and supporting U.S. troops

May 02, 2011 (The Oregonian - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Oregon coach Chip Kelly has visited military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan and has been vocal in his support of those who serve in law enforcement as well.

That support was reflected in Saturday's annual Spring Game, where the Ducks pulled off their special jerseys and gave them to military personnel in attendance.

The jerseys were unique, with insignias on the front and no names on the back. Instead, the white team's jerseys had "Land Of The Free," while the green team's jerseys had "Home Of The Brave" where names would be.

After the game, Kelly talks about the program's ongoing support for military and law enforcement personnel.
