Nivis Completes WirelessHART(R) Registration

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/07/12 -- Nivis, a global leader in Smart Grid and Industrial Wireless networks, announces that its WirelessHART device implementation (VL10) has completed the Registration process of the HART Communication Foundation. This achievement makes Nivis the second communication stack provider to have products built on their technology complete the rigorous compliance testing and verification process for WirelessHART devices. The Registration confirms that the Nivis implementation meets HART Foundation requirements for interoperability with WirelessHART devices and systems. Having this second source provider gives OEM partners, system integrators and end users added flexibility when selecting a partner.

"We have been working with the Nivis team closely over the past few years and are very pleased about their implementation completing the WirelessHART Registration process," said HART Communication Foundation Executive Director Ron Helson. "This is a great achievement for Nivis and exemplifies the growing ecosystem behind the WirelessHART standard." Key benefits of the Nivis WirelessHART protocol implementation: Low power consumption Smart publishing of process data (Burst mode) Over-the-air (OTA) provisioning Status reporting by exception (Event notification) Radio / platform independent modular design The modular design of the Nivis WirelessHART protocol implementation allows it to be easily ported to any radio, processor or hardware platform. Nivis technology can be purchased in the form of radio modules, software stacks, network management appliances, gateways and access points. All are available for purchase now.
