New Raleigh Restaurant Adds Phonebooth to the Menu

RALEIGH, N.C. --(Business Wire)--

Phonebooth, a division of Bandwidth and a nationwide supplier of voice and data communications services to small and medium size businesses, today announced that one of Raleigh, North Carolina's newest restaurants has chosen Phonebooth's cloud-based business phone solution to manage and simplify its high volume of customer calls.

Zinda, which means "Alive" in Hindi, is an upscale, New Asian style restaurant in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. When it opened in August 2012, Managing Partner Sachin Vachhani recognized they needed a business phone solution that was easy to install and configure and could help him and his staff respond more efficiently to customer inquiries. For Vachhani, who also manages the IT infrastructure for Zinda's parent group, Eschelon (News - Alert) Hospitality, the decision to choose Phonebooth was an easy one. Since Zinda's sister restaurant was already using Phonebooth's cloud-based VoIP system, Vachhani was well aware of its cost savings and other benefits.

"People don't realize te long-term costs of a traditional phone system. You pay for each AT&T (News - Alert) line plus local and long distance, and then you have to find an area within the restaurant to put the server. Not to mention the hassle of maintaining all the equipment," said Vachhani. "Phonebooth was simple and easy for me to deploy. And no other system can beat it in terms of cost and value."

Zinda has set up several lines using Phonebooth, and calls are efficiently routed using an auto-attendant for reservations, general information, corporate events, late night inquiries and requests to speak with the office manager. By setting up an auto-attendant, Zinda is able to route calls wherever they need to go - at any time of day.

"As one of the largest and fastest growing telecommunications providers in the U.S., we believe in providing remarkable value to small business owners by offering unlimited, simplified business communication solutions," said Jim Mulcahy, EVP and general manager of Phonebooth. "Phonebooth is ideal for small businesses, freelancers and independent professionals who need a professional, cost-effective and easy-to-use phone solution. From desk phones to calls routed to mobile devices - or both - Phonebooth meets the connectivity needs of businesses today."

With Phonebooth, businesses can sign up online and instantly set up their cloud-based PBX (News - Alert) through an online portal, select their features and be fully operational. The only physical requirements are a high speed Internet connection and IP phones. The greatest benefit of a hosted VoIP phone system to small and medium size businesses is the immediacy with which they can customize and adjust their system based on business needs. As soon as they sign up, they are immediately able to log in and add or remove users, create call groups and more.

"I am a network engineer by trade, and I could have designed a system by myself. But it would have taken much more time, effort and maintenance than I wanted to spend," added Vachhani. "For $20 a month, we get the functionality of a large-scale phone system that works great for our small business."
