Datang Telecom to Invest CNY90mn in Smartphone Chip ProjectBEIJING, Nov 07, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Telecom service provider Datang Telecom Technology Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600198) announced recently that it would invest CNY 90 million in L1813 and 1812 smartphone chip projects. The company also intends to allocate CNY 30 million in the development of the operating system for embedded software platform for the next-generation smartphone chip. Besides, another CNY 80 million will be injected for the R&D and industrialization of a high-security smart card chip platform oriented to the financial industry and industrial applications. Another CNY 417.02 million will be used for the replenishment of working capital. Moreover, the company will offer up to CNY 50 million supporting funds, with a validity of one year at most, for the industrial development of Jiangsu I-front Science and Technology Co., Ltd.
