Architecture Technology Wins 2012 Alfred P. Sloan AwardNov 08, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Architecture Technology Corp (ATC) has been notified that it is a recipient of the 2012 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility. According to a release, the Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility award employers of all types and sizes that are using workplace flexibility as a tool to enhance business and employee success. The Awards are offered to employers within the When Work Works partner communities, as well as to those outside of these locations as "other" applicants. ATC said the Awards are particular for their criteria. To win, applicants must rank among the top 20 percent of U.S. employers in terms of their programs and practices for creating workplaces, based on nationally representative data from Families and Work Institute. Two-thirds of the overall score is derived from a confidential employee survey, ensuring that these programs and practices are having a real impact where the "rubber meets the road," on the employee experience. In the Book - Bold Ideas - ATC was mentioned for their workplace environment where workers set their own hours. According to Bold Ideas - "The company provides a rare environment where employees set their own hours. No need to clock in or out. No need to get clearance from a supervisor. The people-first culture is accentuated by the company's program, regarding random acts of kindness." ATC products include its Cyber Marshal forensics products, such as P2P Marshal, Live Marshal, Mac Marshal and Router Marshal. These products are currently in use by U.S. law enforcement in all 50 states to investigate cyber crimes. Without automated tools, a forensic investigator's job to find evidence of illegal distribution of contraband and other crimes is manually intensive and time-consuming. These forensic tools greatly help investigators reduce the time required for the analysis process. ATC noted that it has also had a hand in The Final Approach Runway Occupancy Signal (FAROS) concept. FAROS addresses the need to affect the potentially serious consequences of runway incursions involving an aircraft on approach while another aircraft or vehicle is on the same runway. ATC's R&D services division also punches out new products like USB Steward - a hardware/software firewall that protects computers from malicious USB devices.
