AT&T expands 4G LTE network in Bakersfield, California


Nov 09, 2012 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- US communications holding company AT&T (NYSE:T) said yesterday that it has expanded its 4G LTE network in Bakersfield, California.

AT&T had launched its 4G LTE service in Bakersfield on 6 September 2012 and this expansion is reportedly a part of its ongoing rollout across the market.

AT&T's 4G LTE provides several benefits including faster speeds, faster response time and more efficient use of spectrum.

Also, the company offers several LTE-compatible devices, including new AT&T 4G LTE smartphones and tablets, such as the Sony Xperia TL, LG Optimus G, Samsung Galaxy S III, Motorola ATRIX HD, HTC One X, Nokia Lumia 900, Samsung Galaxy Note and Pantech Element tablet amongst others.




AT&T's 4G LTE network currently covers over 285 million people. Over the past five years, the company has reportedly invested more than USD115bn into operations and into acquiring spectrum and other assets to enhance its wireless and wired networks.
