One Stop Green Completes First Phase of ActiveLED Install for Rackspace

Houston, Texas, Nov 12, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- After conducting an initial site survey and identifying the ideal area to demo ActiveLED lighting, One Stop Green, an international distributor for ActiveLED Lighting, has completed the installation of the first phase of an exterior lighting retrofit for the Rackspace parking lot. Rackspace is a leader in cloud computing services and seeks to ensure their headquarters in San Antonio, Texas is operating at maximum efficiency.

One Stop Green provided ActiveLED FL 100W flood light fixtures to replace existing 1000W metal halide flood lights, which will save the Rackspace facility enormous amounts of energy, maintenance and bulb consumption. Using the ActiveLED FL flood lights will virtually eliminate the need to service the fixtures for the next several decades, thereby locking in color, light output and energy consumption for the life of the fixture. ActiveLED fixtures are dimmable and controllable from a wall-mounted controller or via a networked computer allowing for active savings. All ActiveLED fixtures provide a uniform, bright white light greatly enhancing the visibility and uniformity of color within the Rackspace parking lot with zero color loss over the life of the lamp. These fixtures have also been equipped with ambient light sensors and motion sensors making them even more energy efficient and will save Rackspace over 90% on energy usage compared to their current parking lot lights.

The FL series flood lights were mounted on 60' poles with 6 flood lights mounted at the top. 4 motion sensors were mounted at 20' to illuminate the flood lights when the sensors detect motion. The FL series flood lights total 624W and replaced an existing fixture using 4875W of power, an over 4200W reduction.
