Boise restaurants offer Thanksgiving fare


Nov 16, 2012 (The Idaho Statesman - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Not up for cooking this Thanksgiving There are plenty of area restaurants that are serving up a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings.

Here's a roundup of some of the places offering traditional foods. If you don't see your favorite spot, give them a call.

Note: Most restaurants don't take online reservations for holiday meals. Your best bet is to call the restaurant directly.

BUFFETS -- Berryhill & Co., 121 N. 9th St., Boise, will serve fare that's a little traditional and a little not from 2 to 7 p.m. The menu includes herb butter-roasted turkey, baron of beef, Parmesan-brie bass, dressing, potatoes, salads and desserts. $29 adults, $16 for 10 and younger. -- Barbacoa, 276 W. Bobwhite Court, Boise, will serve a full buffet featuring turkey, ham and prime rib and selected sides and desserts. It's $39 adult, $22 for 12 and younger. Reservations: 338-5000. Barbacoa-Boise.com.

-- The Owyhee Plaza Grill, 1109 Main St., Boise, will serve honey glazed turkey and prime rib, maple-roasted salmon, salads, side dishes, fresh fruit and dessert. Seatings are at noon, 1, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. $25.95 for adults and $14.95 for kids 4 to 10 (free for 3 and younger). Reservations: 343-4611.


-- This is a little bit buffet and a little sit down: Tucanos Brazilian Grill, 1388 S. Entertainment Ave., will add Thanksgiving fare to its regular churrasco menu of grilled meats and a salad bar. You can get turkey fried, grilled or baked with all the trimmings from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. $29.95 adult, $11.95 for ages 7 to 12, free for 6 and younger. Reservations: 343-4300. OFF THE MENU -- At Angell's Bar and Grill, 999 W. Main St., Boise, you can order off a select menu that includes a traditional holiday dinner from noon to 8 p.m. Prices are to be announced. Reservations: 342-4900. Deposit required. Online: AngellsBarAndGrill.com.

-- Chandlers Steakhouse, 981 W. Grove St., Boise, will serve its traditional feast with live music and a festive flair starting at 2 p.m. on Nov. 22. Your choice of entree includes prime rib, sea bass and roasted turkey, along with soup, salad, dessert and free valet parking. It is $42 for adults, $15 for 12 and younger. Reservations: 383-4300. -- Chef Chris Haine at Emilio's in The Grove Hotel, 245 S. Capitol Blvd., Boise, will serve a four-course dinner of soup, salad, choice of entree and dessert from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. $32 for adults (10 percent off for 65 and older), $15 for 12 and younger. -- Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant, 1733 S. Cole Road, Boise, will serve a plate of turkey, ham, cornbread dressing, a choice of two sides, slice of pumpkin pie and a beverage for $8.99 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Phone: 321-8280. Online: CrackerBarrel.com.

-- Murphy's Seafood & Steakhouse, 1555 Broadway Ave., Boise, will serve your choice of appetizer, salad and entree, including a turkey and/or ham dinner, prime rib, lamb shank or salmon, from noon to 8 p.m. $16 to $30. Pine Ave., Meridian, 888-0314, will serve a traditional roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings and choice of pie, along with the regular menu, from 11 a.m. to close.
