(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 16 November 2012 Release date- 16112012 - iiNet, Australia's second largest DSL Internet Service Provider, has launched super-fast fibre broadband services in Victoria across its very own hybrid-fibre coaxial (HFC) network.

The network gives customers in Geelong, Mildura and Ballarat access to speeds of up to 100 megabits per second, similar to download speeds available on the NBN.

iiNet's Chief Executive Officer, Michael Malone, said the launch is the result of recent integration efforts with TransACT.

'TransACT built and launched the network in 2010 and since that time, customers in Geelong, Mildura and Ballarat have enjoyed some of the fastest speeds available in Australia. We've been working to integrate TransACT's network into the iiNet family as fast as we can so we can open up HFC services to even more customers,' he said.

iiNet customers in these areas have access to iiNet's award-winning customer service, and its full suite of innovative products including FetchTV, Netphone, and mobile voice handsets and plans.

Existing TransACT customers in Victoria will also experience the full iiNet product suite as they are moved across to iiNet in the coming months. TransACT customers will be kept up-to-date about the changes to their services.

Broadband plans on the new network start from $49.95 per month and are available across four speeds, 12/1 Mbps, 25/5 Mbps, 50/8 Mbps and 100/8 Mbps.
