WHAT: Santa Claus is coming to town early this season for hundreds of students from Save the Children's after school literacy programs in Coffeyville, Kansas at Community Elementary School. Bearing books and a "Read, Learn and Be Merry" mission, an authentic Noerr Programs Santa (read: a real beard and a real belly laugh), will sleigh in from his temporary residence at Simon Property Group's Independence Center in Independence, Missouri. Marking the launch of "Read, Learn and Be Merry," an early childhood literacy campaign by Noerr and Save the Children, Santa will read a classic Christmas tale to children in grades K-5 as well as lead the group in a chorus of Christmas songs. The merry team will also deliver new books and card decks on behalf of Scholastic Inc. and UNO to each child.

WHO: Save the Children and The Noerr Programs have teamed up for the third year of "The Santa Cause," a partnership that values the act of giving back by emphasizing the importance of education support for underserved children living in rural America. Since the partnership began, Noerr has collected more than $325,000 to benefit children in need throughout the country.

The celebrity Santa is Santa Charlie, a graduate of Noerr's Santa University who holds court each holiday season at Independence Center in Missouri. Donations for Save the Children will be collected throughout the holiday season at The Santa Photo Experience at all Noerr Santa locations, including Independence Center, West Ridge Mall in Topeka, as well as Towne West Square and Towne East Square in Wichita.
