Chuck E. Cheese's Partners With Dallas-Fort Worth Food Banks, Local Families to Feed Community

DALLAS --(Business Wire)--

Chuck E. Cheese's believes in the joy of combining food and fun for a classic family experience, and this holiday season the family entertainment leader's Dallas-Fort Worth-area (DFW) restaurants will partner with the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB), Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) and area guests to help feed families in need. Beginning Monday, Nov. 26, through Thursday, Dec. 20, Chuck E. Cheese's encourages DFW residents and their children to join them in the rewarding spirit of giving back through its Chuck E. Cheese's Holiday Food Drive.

"Food is a big part of the whole family's fun experience at Chuck E. Cheese's, so this holiday season it makes sense to partner with an organization that cares about feeding families as much as we do - and that's exactly what we've found in our friends at the NTFB and TAFB," said Scott McDaniel, chief marketing officer at CEC Entertainment, Inc., Chuck E. Cheese's parent company. "Our company calls Irving home, and many of our own families live in the DFW area which makes our hometown the perfect community to join our guests in holiday giving this season."

During Chuck E. Cheese's Holiday Food Drive, guests can bring canned goods and non-perishable food items to NTFB and TAFB collection points at 16 participating Chuck E. Cheese's locations and be rewarded with 10 free tickets per donated item. Guests will also have the opportunity to contribute directly to both NTFB and TAFB's mission of feeding families in North Texas by adding a monetary donation to their value meal or token package purchases and be rewarded with tickets for prizes.

"A trip to Chuck E. Cheese's for children inspires the same anticipation, excitement and bliss that represent the spirit of the holiday season," said Jan Pruitt, president and CEO of North Texas Food Bank. "We're grateful to have a holiday partner who is known for creating great family memories because this year those memories will include the rewarding feeling that comes from helping another family in the local community have a happy, healthy holiday without huger - and that's the real prize."

Following the end of the food drive on Dec. 20, Chuck E. Cheese's will announce the results of the community's charitable efforts at a closing event on Friday, Dec. 21 as well as make a cash donation. Throughout Chuck E. Cheese's Holiday Food Drive, Chuck E. Cheese's asks moms and dads to share their memories, photos and stories of their families giving back in their own communities with [email protected]. Chuck E. Cheese's will share them with friends and fans through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and foursquare to inspire and thank the DFW community.

Guests can bring their non-perishable food donations to Chuck E. Cheese's locations in Allen, Arlington, Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth/North Richland Hills, Garland, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Hulen, Irving, Lewisville, North Garland/Firewheel, Plano, Rockwall, Valley View and White Settlement.
