Infonetics Research Report Ranks Sonus as Fastest-Growing Brand of Session Border Controllers


Dec 04, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Sonus Networks, a company focusing on SIP communications, said that the most current Infonetics Research report shows its Session Border Controllers (SBCs) continue to be the fastest-growing portfolio on the market.



In a release, the Company said that the 3Q12 "Service Provider VoIP and IMS Equipment and Subscribers" report issued November 15, reveals that its SBCs have consistently led the industry in growth since 1Q'11.

As described by the Company, key report highlights for Sonus include: -The largest year-over-year share gains in the SBC market, an 8.1 share point increase to achieve a 22 percent market share for 3Q'12 over 3Q'11 -The highest year-over-year SBC revenue growth; an 80 percent gain compared to a market average growth of 13.5 percent for 3Q'12 over 3Q'11 -The largest SBC share gain for the first nine months of 2012; a 9.5 share point gain from a year ago -- over five times the next closest competitor -The highest year-to-date SBC revenue growth versus prior year results; 130 percent for first nine months of 2012 compared to a market average growth of 9.3 percent SBCs provide secure access to SIP trunking, which enable service providers and enterprises to adjust their network design, costs and to deploy new applications such as Unified Communications and video.
