Expedient Appoints Former Cleveland "Tech Czar" as New Regional Vice President

Cleveland, Ohio, Dec 04, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Expedient, the area's leading provider of Data Center, Managed Hosting and Cloud Computing Services announced today the appointment of Michael DeAloia as its new Regional Vice President. Mr. DeAloia has been an active member of the Cleveland business community for the past 13 years, with a breadth of experience in finance and business development for several local ventures, including Emerging Chefs, the LNE Group, FIT Technologies and BlueBridge Networks.

From 2004 through 2007, Mr. DeAloia served in the Mayor Campbell and Mayor Jackson administrations as Senior Executive for Technology Development, a position often referred to as the "Tech Czar". During his tenure as the "Tech Czar," he is credited with facilitation millions of dollars in financing for local technology ventures and successfully recruited 37 tech related companies to re-locate to Cleveland, creating an estimated 1,000 new jobs.

"We look forward to Michael's contribution in leading our Cleveland data center operations through its next exciting stage of growth, including the continued deployment of our next generation of hosted cloud computing services" said Shawn McGorry, COO of Expedient, which operates 8 interconnected data centers, providing managed hosting solutions in 5 other markets in addition to Cleveland (Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh).

Mr. DeAloia's appointment is intended to add Leadership depth in one of Expedient's core markets to help meet the demands created by its continuing growth. The change is made in conjunction with several other recent changes.

Bryan Smith, who had been serving as the company's Regional Vice President for both the Columbus and Cleveland data centers, will remain in that position for Columbus only, but will also serve as the Company's Vice President of Sales and Marketing across all 6 markets.

The company will be launching a new generation of their Cloud platform in Q1 - 2013. The new Cloud service will offer several new feature sets including a more robust user interface and flexible, usage based billing options for variable resources on demand.

Driven by customer demand in Cleveland, Expedient is scheduled to begin Engineering and design of its next Data Center expansion in 2013, with an expected build out slated for 2014. Earlier this year, the company completed a 7,000 square foot, $5 Million dollar expansion (Phase 6 at its Neo Park location in Garfield Heights) and demand for that space has outpaced original forecasts.

"We've completed five new multi-million dollar data center builds and three expansions in the last four years and made significant investments to expand our suite of managed services. Cleveland has always been one of our foundation markets and we are delighted to expand our leadership team there in 2013 in advance of more expansion," stated McGorry.
