The PnC-FT fault tolerant cluster configuration allows users to store two copies of their email archives in two different physical locations. All messages are continuously captured by the primary unit at one location and immediately duplicated to the second unit at another location. Both copies of the same email message are indexed and archived, and available concurrently and simultaneously for searching. If either location fails or goes offline, access to the email archive remains uninterrupted; the surviving unit will continue to archive new email while the failed unit is being repaired.
