BT introduces BT One Cloud in Brazil

Dec 14, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- BT Group plc, a communications services company, has introduced BT One Cloud, a new unified communications service for the Brazilian market designed to increase workforce productivity, motivation and efficiency by reducing travel time and expenses to share information.

BT One Cloud is one of 30 products and services launched to support BT's expansion plans in Latin America. BT One Cloud integrates voice applications with messaging, so that users' productivity can be increased. Organizations can access the advanced IP telephony services with reduced capital investment, as it is a pay per use service - billed monthly - helping them to respond to the challenges of today's business environment, the company said.

BT One Cloud is a 24x7 managed system, offering customers updates of the latest technological innovations without using any of their resources. Thus, customers can achieve savings on the management and maintenance of equipment at their facilities and monthly VPN line fees.

Implementing the service does not require a complex project; it is introduced in a transparent and gradual way at the customer's office. IP telephone terminals can be installed in parallel with the existing telephony infrastructure, but connected to the company's local area network (LAN). Once the telephone number is available (transfer of existing or new), the user can use the terminal, which will automatically upload his or her profile.

This service is based on three main blocks, telephony, multimedia, and convergence. All functions required by the user are available from the network: virtual unified messaging, private number plans, fax, and voice mail. Voice is managed like an IP application, opening a range of possibilities such as conferencing, collaboration, file sharing. The VoIP technology combined with the latest infrastructure generation allows the convergence of different applications on a single media.

Sergio Paulo Gallindo, BT country manager in Brazil said, "BT One Cloud supports our clients' growth and increases their productivity, using existing infrastructure and minimising investments. BT can help businesses to migrate easily to BT One Cloud and eliminate the burden usually associated with these implementations and the complexity of their management. With BT One Cloud, Brazilian companies can now use unified communications to open the door to a new era in business communications and corporate performance." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
