Construction of China Cloud Industrial Park in Full Swing


BEIJING, Dec 14, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The construction of the global earliest park for the entire cloud computing industry chain-China Cloud Computing Industry Park, is in full swing at Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.



It is disclosed that the projects that have already been implemented for the construction of the park see a total investment of more than CNY 20 billion.

According to introduction, the industrial park has raised capital from enterprises like Baidu.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIDU), KDDI, China Telecom Corporation Limited (SEHK: 0728 and NYSE:CHA), etc. to build high-grade and super-large data centers. Baidu and China Telecom are expected to start construction of relevant projects in the park in the second quarter of next year.


Meanwhile, another cloud computing industry park in China, with an overall planned construction area of more than 2 million square meters, will soon start construction and is expected to see the first-batch enterprises settle in before the end of 2014. After the completion of the projects that are already been implemented and the data center project that is still under negotiation, the park is expected to be equipped with about 800,000 servers.
