CA Technologies Supports Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

ISLANDIA, N.Y. --(Business Wire)--

CA Technologies (News - Alert) (NASDAQ: CA) today announced employee and company contributions to the American Red Cross relief efforts in support of Hurricane Sandy have totaled more than $200,000 to date.

"Hurricane Sandy devastated lives and entire communities, and the Red Cross is so grateful for CA Technologies and its employees for stepping up to help us bring much-needed relief," said Neal Litvack, Chief Development Officer at the American Red Cross. "With CA Technologies generous and timely support, the Red Cross has provided food, water, shelter, relief supplies and health care, and we'll continue to be there as those hardest hit take the difficult steps toward recovery."

While much of the East Coast still recovers from the damage the super storm left in its wake, CA Technologies employees rallied together to help neighbors, colleagues and affected communities.

"The culture at CA Technologies begins and ends with helping others," said Bill McCracken, CEO, CA Technologies. "Many of our East Coast-based employees were affected by Hurricane Sandy, yet they still came out to support others in need. I am very proud of their commitment to our community and to each other."

CA Technologies and its employees have been active volunteers in disaster relief efforts since the storm hit. In Long Island and New York City, for example employees held food drives for Island Harvest; collected clothing for New York Cares; scheduled blood drives for the , and donated toys to children affected by the hurricane through Family-to-Family and the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.

"We were all blown away by the enormity of the situation and wanted to get out there to do whatever we could to help. As usual, our colleagues stepped up to the plate quickly to lend a hand, assisting the American Red Cross in affected communities by providing comfort kits. While it was heartbreaking to see firsthand the challenges people faced, it felt good to do something to make a real difference." - Pouya Khani, senior director, HR Operations, CA Technologies, Islandia.

Employees also participated in a Day of Action for New York, a volunteer project to assist with clean-up efforts organized by the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative and received a special thanks for joining President and Chelsea Clinton to support this initiative.

"It was rewarding to join forces with the Army National Guard and the Clinton Global Initiative to assist those in need following Hurricane Sandy. People were comforted by the efforts of volunteers, service providers, the military and others who came through. It was gratifying to play a part in this amazing effort." - Hayley Hirschfield, associate expense analyst, CA Technologies, Islandia.

CA Technologies and its employees have a long history of giving back to those in need through employee volunteerism, matching gifts and corporate contributions. To learn how you can help with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, please visit http://rdcrss.org/TwkvkR.
