CSPI and Gedae, Inc. Announce Strategic Reseller Agreement

BILLERICA, Mass., Dec 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE via COMTEX) -- CSP Inc. (Nasdaq:CSPI) MultiComputer Division, a leading supplier of commercially developed rugged embedded computers, announced today that it has entered into a Value Added Reseller relationship with Gedae, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, the CSPI MultiComputer Division will market, sell, and distribute the !dea(TM) Development Environment with its high performance embedded computing systems. This agreement significantly enhances the set of application development tools available to CSPI customers, expediting time to deployment by reducing the complexity of programming our advanced multicore systems with complex memory architectures.

"We are excited to offer our customers this tool set that allows for rapid development of signal processing solutions and the very quick dynamic reallocation of processes in multicore environments for optimum tuning of performance," said Paul Martino, Director of US Sales, CSPI.

Gedae is an application development environment consisting of a language, compiler and thread scheduler. It also includes an automated build system and a tool suite supporting development activities. The compiler is the central component of Gedae and automatically optimizes the software targeted for multiprocessor, multicore or heterogeneous systems beneficial to CSPI's TeraXP(TM) OpenVPX(TM) Embedded Servers and 4000 SERIES AdvancedTCA product line.

Specifically designed for applications where performance, processing density and rugged packaging are critical, the TeraXP(TM) embedded servers have an architecture featuring Intel(R) Xeon(R) multicore processors, GPGPU co-processors, InfiniBand FDR technology, and an optical data plane for rapid technology insertion and future processing growth.

The 4000 SERIES AdvancedTCA product line targets applications where NEBS compliance meets the most critical environmental requirements for defense and commercial mobile platforms. These products integrate the established PICMG 3.1 Ethernet ATCA architecture, Intel(R) Xeon(R) multicore processors and the high performance 40Gb Quad Data Rate (QDR) InfiniBand scalable interconnect.

"We are pleased with CSPI's selection of Gedae's !dea(TM) Development Environment as the solution to their customer's demands for multicore software tools," said Bill Lundgren, President and CEO at Gedae, Inc. "!dea(TM) makes it easy to get the best performance from CSPI's top of the line computing systems. This agreement represents a significant event in Gedae, Inc.'s growth." About Gedae, Inc.

Gedae, Inc. was formed in January of 2001 to develop software tools for multicore and multiprocessor systems to address the complexity of programming these systems and their complex memory architectures with a new language and automated compiler technology that will enable efficient and effective development of new and existing systems.
