Norwalk, CT - December 20, 2012 - TMC (News - Alert) today announced the second Battle of the Platforms will take place at M2M Evolution Miami at 2:00 pm EST on January 29, bringing together an exciting cross section of cutting-edge Machine-to-Machine (M2M) platforms designed to improve business processes, minimize risk, spur innovation and drive revenue within the M2M ecosystem. The 2013 Battle of the Platforms is a free day of M2M programming, consisting of a cocktail reception and sessions filled with insight from analysts, real-life case studies and roundtable discussions on new M2M technologies and best strategies. It's the opportunity for M2M application developers, wholesale service providers, enterprise IT managers and more to evaluate market-leading M2M solutions and determine which platforms are the best option for their own M2M projects. Platform categories represented at Battle of the Platforms include:
--Smart Energy: smart homes & buildings, end-to-end energy management, smart metering, M2M-enabled smart grid & impact on electricity transmission & network resilience

--Healthcare: M2M-enabled medical applications, M2M medical devices & hardware
--Enterprise: asset tracking, facilities management, mobile workforce management, transportation, value chain applications
--Service Provider: value proposition for operators' M2M partners; activation, provisioning & MDM; customer experience management; emerging role of OSS-BSS systems in M2M value chain; the evolving role of operators in delivering M2M; the emerging role of integrators in M2M
'Many network platforms claim to deliver best-in-class development and deployment times, scalability, reliability and more, but how often do buyers get the chance to evaluate these solutions in side-by-side demonstrations? Battle of the Platforms provides this valuable opportunity, enabling buyers to become more knowledgeable about implementation options and make intelligent purchases that are best for their specific business needs and goals,' said Carl Ford (News - Alert), Crossfire CEO and Conference Chairman.
