Matrix Medical Network Concludes Record Amount of Medicare Advantage Plan Prospective Medical Assessments

Jan 04, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Matrix Medical Network, a company focusing on providing prospective medical assessment services for Medicare Advantage (MA) plan members, announced that it completed more than 222,000 assessments in 2012.

According to a release, that number is well ahead of the company's 2011 record-setting total. The growth was achieved through new operational processes, hiring additional nurse practitioners (NPs), and building a new national clinical field structure.

Matrix is focused in using a national network of highly-trained employee NPs to conduct in-person, 60-minute-plus prospective assessments in MA members' homes and skilled nursing facilities.

"Every day our team of NPs is taking care of more than 1,200 Medicare Advantage plan members," said Matrix Chief Medical Officer Zachary Gerbarg, MD, CPC. "They are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the people they visit. Not only do they complete a very thorough medical assessment, but they listen to people's concerns, provide health and home-environment safety counseling, and share vitally important member health information with the members' physicians."
