Jan 07, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Virtualization Review announced that 2X ApplicationServer XG is an Editor's Choice recipient in the Virtualization Review Annual Reader's Choice Awards.

According to a release, Virtualization Review is a print publication solely devoted to IT virtualization. 2X ApplicationServer XG was recognized by the Editor for its excellence in Virtual Desktop and Application Delivery.

2X ApplicationServer XG, the company said, combines the best in application delivery, remote desktop services (RDSH) and virtual desktop (VDI) management by allowing administrators to publish applications and virtual desktops from an all-in-one platform. Hypervisor independent, 2X ApplicationServer XG supports Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xen, VMware, Parallels and more.

"We are delighted to kick off the New Year with the Virtualization Review Editor's Choice Award," said Nikolaos Makris, CEO, 2X Software "this is recognition from a leading publication that 2X ApplicationServer XG offers a real alternative to other VDI vendors with a simple, scalable and affordable Virtualization product. We have more exciting new features planned for 2013." "A lot of vendors are shooting for the same goals, but in different ways. That's where the annual Virtualization Review Reader's Choice Awards and Ultimate Buyer's Guide enables users to assess hundreds of products in one, central location," said Bruce Hoard, editor in chief of Virtualization Review.
