Haier Showcases Home Solutions Offerings at CES 2013

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- CES Booth #10939 -- Haier, the world's #1 appliance brand, is putting its latest home appliance solutions on display during CES 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. Featured at the Haier CES booth will be Haier's innovative "Smart Living" internet connected appliances. With Haier's "Smart Living" refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners, users are able to retrieve information and remotely control their appliances either from home or on the go, allowing customers to do more, worry less, and save time. The Haier "Smart Living" system includes home appliance controls, lighting and curtain controls, multimedia entertainment, security alarm monitoring and other outstanding features that together make for a full wireless-controlled network home appliance system.

"CES 2013 is a tremendous showcase for Haier, as the world's number one appliance brand and one of just a handful of companies that can display both electronics and major appliances," said Shariff Kan, president, Haier America. "CES will allow us to highlight key new products, but also solidify our core belief in simplifying the user experience when it comes to technology." Haier is the world's #1 laundry brand and CES will showcase the redesign and launch of a top-load laundry line as well as innovative concept pieces like Haier's transparent washer.

Additionally, the booth will feature a demo kitchen with celebrity chef Dana Cohen highlighting new products slated for late 2013, including induction and True European Convention ranges as well as warming drawers. Haier will also showcase the world's first 100% cordless blender. Having already applied research into wireless technology to televisions, Haier is now extending this innovation to small appliances. Electricity is transmitted using coupling technology; allowing the blender to remotely receive energy without any wires. To operate the blender, simply place the transmitter which provides the electricity underneath the kitchen worktop. Energy is transferred to the mixer through the worktop. A wireless kitchen is really possible.
