ERF Wireless names new chief operating officer


Jan 10, 2013 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- ERF Wireless Inc. (OTCBB: ERFB) said that Tim Maxson will succeed Tom Wiedebush as chief operating officer .

Maxson will take over all of the company's day-to-day, high-level operational management responsibilities. He brings extensive senior management experience to ERF Wireless, having recently served as the president and general manager of a $56 million division of a major heavy equipment manufacturing company, where he developed a twelve-month operational business strategy that resulted in the company going from a negative cash flow to a profit for the first time in five years.



Wiedebush, whose initial contract expired at the end of 2012, elected not to seek an extension for personal reasons. However, he will remain as a board member and agreed to assist ERF Wireless in finding the best COO candidate as his successor, as well as other key management positions currently being filled.
