Jan 11, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- TomTom has signed a partnership with Telenav to deliver real-time traffic content to Telenav's mobile navigation customers.

In a release, the Company noted that TomTom's HD Traffic services will deliver enhanced congestion, incident and estimated time of arrival data.

"Traffic is a daily pain point for many drivers and we are passionate about helping our customers save time and reduce stress," said Ryan Peterson, Director of Product Management for Traffic and Navigation at Telenav. "We selected TomTom HD Traffic in order to improve the quality of our traffic services across our mobile apps." Charles Cautley, Managing Director, TomTom Automotive, Enterprise and Government, said, "TomTom is committed to providing a dependable, traffic solution to help drivers reach their destinations faster. By integrating TomTom HD Traffic, Scout and Telenav's other GPS navigation services will receive the most precise traffic information possible, delivering significant advantages to their users that will improve their daily commutes." On iPhone and Android devices, Telenav's Scout application includes free voice GPS navigation, local search, traffic information, speech recognition, and automatic rerouting. It also features My Dashboard, a customizable home screen that provides users with personalized, real-time commute times to work and home.
