Telefonica Digital's Tim Marsden to Provide ITEXPO Miami Keynote

Jan 14, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- TMC announced that Tim Marsden, Director of Telefonica Digital's worldwide cloud vertical, will deliver the afternoon keynote address at ITEXPO Miami on Wednesday, January 30, at 3:30 p.m. EST.


ITEXPO, a communications and technology trade show, is being held January 30 - February 1, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida.

"The key theme [of the keynote speech] will be around the opportunity for telcos in the cloud, key areas we believe telcos can differentiate and criteria for their success based on Telefonica experiences so far," said Marcelo Caputo, CEO of Telefonica USA. "We are delighted to have Tim Marsden, the person behind the global cloud strategy for Telefonica at ITEXPO." According to a release, Marsden drives Telefonica Digital's business strategy and portfolio management and development for cloud. As director, he oversees continuous business development, P&L performance, operator alliances and goes to market both directly and through Telefonica operating businesses.

Previously, Marsden worked with Hewlett-Packard Communications, Media and Entertainment for over 5 years where he led their Applications & Cloud Enablement services helping communications providers to grow their cloud, M2M and Apps businesses. Marsden has also been instrumental in new product innovations. Collectively, Marsden has over 20 years' experience in IT and communications.
