Nexant's RevenueManager Software Reviewed in Gartner's Magic Quadrant Report for Utility Customer Information Systems

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--

Nexant, Inc. today announced it has been reviewed by Gartner (News - Alert), Inc. in the 2012 "Magic Quadrant for Utilities Customer Information Systems."1

According to Gartner, "many utilities perceive the bolt-on approach as a lower-cost alternative to the full replacement of a legacy CIS product that is unable to address smart-grid-related requirements with a commercial off-the-shelf CIS product that cannot address all emerging needs."

"Our customers are telling us that legacy CIS billing solutions are unable to meet many new smart grid requirements for demand response, real-time, prepaid, and complex billing," said Tanya Shepherd, Vice President of Nexant's RevenueManager business group. "Nexant's RevenueManager addresses the needs of competitive retail markets for complex pricing including demand response and energy-efficiencyrebates with relatively low deployment costs. Seventy-two companies use Nexant RevenueManager to bill 28 million end-users. We see continued strong interest from de-regulated utilities looking for a robust billing solution."
