Stratacache launches new technologies at National Retail Federation Show

Jan 15, 2013 (Dayton Daily News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Stratacache, the Dayton-based provider of digital sign and marketing technology, launched new interactive technology this week to help retail customers become more involved in the shopping experience, according to a media release.

The company unveiled its Digital Play technology this week at the National Retail Federation Show in New York City. Digital Play displays high-definition, interactive product and brand messages that are programmed to respond to customers via motion-based gestures.

Digital Play experiences include a gestural interactive floor; a gestural interactive wall; augmented-reality floor projection or wall displays; and a virtual-reality environment.

The Dayton Daily News first reported about some of these cutting-edge technologies in an April 2012 article about Stratacache.

The company also is exhibiting its latest web caching technology at the industry trade show. Retail Cache provides web site content to retail customers using in-store tablets at faster, wireless network speed, officials said.

Stratacache provides computer-controlled signs and menus for McDonald's restaurants and sports arenas. The company is headquartered at 2 Riverplace, just north of downtown Dayton. Stratacache has about 120 employees around the world, including about 50 in Dayton.
