Tulip selects ShoreTel's unified communication platform

Jan 21, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- ShoreTel, a provider of unified communications platforms, including business phone systems, applications and mobile unified communication, or UC, solutions, has announced that Tulip Ltd, a food producer, has selected ShoreTel's UC platform.

The ShoreTel solution enables Tulip to provide better customer service and has improved internal communication among its employees.

In order to keep up with its own growth, Tulip decided to integrate a Unified Communication platform across their 24 sites. Having investigated all major suppliers of UC, including Cisco, Tulip selected ShoreTel's UC platform, as it needed a solution that would be cost-effective and easy to maintain, while helping the company to remain a modern, connected and a geographically diverse business.

The ShoreTel UC solution allows real-time management of all communications channels email, voice and Web chat enabling a better and more responsive customer experience.

ShoreTel matched all of Tulip's requirements by enabling them to reduce implementation time and cost as well as allowing seamless communication across its sites. The brilliantly simple solution enabled Tulip to extend the functionality of a desk phone to mobile devices, with the next step being to integrate the UC platform across all 24 of Tulip's sites, allowing for a conference bridge between each one.

"We chose ShoreTel because they matched all our requirements, and frankly, no other supplier came close," said Tony Brown, IT director at Tulip. "We can now leverage this in the future by implementing the conference bridge which will allow us to link all the sites together for communication purposes, as well as enhancing our profile and the service we can deliver to our retail customers." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
