Before Overture, Reedy was vice president of engineering at Larscom, a provider of network access devices that went public in 1996. Reedy began his tenure at Larscom in 1991 by way of its acquisition of T3 Technologies, a high-speed networking company that he co-founded in 1988. Reedy, a graduate of Duke University and Stanford University, began his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories in 1980.
