Global Knowledge Launches Training to Support Microsoft Technology Associate Certifications

CARY, N.C. --(Business Wire)--

Global Knowledge, a Microsoft (News - Alert) Gold Certified Partner for Learning Solutions, today announced the availability of three new courses supporting the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification program. Covering networking, security, and software development, each three-day course prepares students for a single MTA certification exam:

  • Students in MTA: Networking Fundamentals will gain a working knowledge of networking terminology, hardware, and protocols while preparing for Exam 98-366.
  • In MTA: Security Fundamentals, students will prepare for Exam 98-367 and gain an understanding of the core enterprise security technologies and principles.

Previously available only to the academic market, the popular MTA certification program provides essential technology training on IT infrastructure, database design, and software development to those just starting a career in IT or those who want to enhance their understanding of IT fundamentals.

"As we head into a new year, we and our Learning Partners are excited to bring MTA to the market. MTA is a great onramp for those entering the technology workforce as well as for business professionals who want to differentiate themselves, contribute to business and technology decisions in a more meaningful way, and raise their value within their current organization," commented Don Field, Senior Director, Microsoft Learning.

"Cloud computing is definitely changing job roles within organizations, and business and IT professionals now require more knowledge of the underlying technology that runs their businesses," explained Michael Fox, Global Knowledge (News - Alert) Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions and Product Management. "We have found that the MTA certification program provides that foundational IT knowledge that will help individuals and organizations broaden their skills base and successfully transition to the cloud."

The new MTA training courses from Global Knowledge are available live over the Internet in virtual classrooms and as private on-site courses that can be tailored to the needs of a student's organization.
