StarAccess is a high-powered, dual-band 2.4/5.8GHz Wi-Fi Access Point that provides more than 3 km of WiFi coverage.  ITEXPO Miami 2013 is to be held January 30-February 1, 2013, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

StarAccess was created to handle the increasing demand from data-hungry smart phones, tablets, and mobile apps. StarAccess is an outdoor 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi access point with an emphasis on providing a large outdoor coverage area. StarAccess can provide coverage for large outdoor areas such as stadiums, campuses, outdoor malls airports and train stations. Thanks to the high receive sensitivity, users can access the network at a distance of up to 2km from the AP using a regular smartphone, tablet or laptop.

StarAccess can be deployed for public or private access or as part of a data offload solution. Service providers can realize a massive cost savings by offloading subscriber data onto a StarAccess Wi-Fi network. This type of offload has a potential to reduce CAPEX costs because the Wi-Fi equipment and related infrastructure is typically less expensive than HSPA+ and LTE solutions. In addition, there are ongoing savings in OPEX (News - Alert) because there are no ongoing monthly licensing fees in the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands.

Offload solutions are also capable of serving areas that are difficult to reach from a cellular tower such as indoors, underground and between buildings. Wi-Fi offload solutions with integrated backhaul can easily and cost effectively provide coverage solutions for these difficult service areas.

Wi-Fi offload provides a seamless user experience for the customer. With the advanced controller technology, the customer does not need to worry about logging in to a hotspot, the entire connection and handoffs are managed seamlessly through an intelligent virtual controller.
