The double sided PCB was designed to be assembled in limited T8 tube space and is less than 10mm high by17mm wide and is only 216mm long. “The major advantage of a module solution over a discrete solution is faster time to market and lower total cost of ownership. The FT825-12S480 LED controller module is based on the recently announced FT825 LED driver Integrated Circuit. The module delivers a power factor greater than 0.93 and low THD of 20% meeting EN61000-3-2 harmonics limits. The design is EMI compliant exceeding the EN55015 and FCC Part 18 Class B standard. The driver module deliver 20W (90V – 264Vac) at an efficiency as high as 88 percent with output current of 0.48A for LED strings. The significant advantage of the isolated, PSR, flyback topology is its wide output voltage. This is an important parameter.
