Davey Resource Group Expands Overhead Reliability Services With Strategic Partnership Using Exacter Analytics

KENT, Ohio --(Business Wire)--

Davey Resource Group, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company announces a strategic partnership with Exacter, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, to expand Davey's reliability service capabilities. Davey has made an equity investment in Exacter and will be using Exacter's Grid Assessment Technology and Analytics as a powerful complement to Davey Resource Group's existing asset management and grid health services.

Davey Resource Group has been very successful in mitigating overhead equipment problems with their visual inspection service. Exacter technology significantly expands Davey Resource Group's capabilities by identifying problematic line equipment without visual signs of deterioration. Exacter also has the capability to patrol and analyze thousands of miles of grid in a matter of weeks - allowing Davey Resource Group to provide utilities with an unprecedented level of grid health assessment.

"We wanted to deliver a comprehensive solution for improving the reliability of our electric utility clients," states Scott Carlin, Market Manager for Davey Resource Group. "With Exactr Grid Assessment Data and Analytics, we can identify precise locations of both seen and unseen equipment deterioration across the grid - providing our clients with actionable information to improve reliability immediately, and also provide a process for continual annual improvement."

Exacter CEO John Lauletta states, "Davey Resource Group is already delivering a high level of reliability analytics with their GIS, mapping, auditing and inspection data. Exacter's true conditions-based field data leverages the Davey Resource Group information infrastructure . . . making it more valuable by providing a dynamic health assessment of the assets being managed."

Exacter Vice President of Business Development Geoffrey Bibo says, "The information and analytics that result from the application of our services provide the gold standard of preventative maintenance. When our predictive data is correlated with connectivity and/or field inventory data, utilities will have a new level of actionable field intelligence for driving a variety of reliability strategies including Smart Grid hardening, Post-Storm Recovery, Worst Performing Circuits, CMI reduction, targeted equipment replacement and even the prioritization of line rebuilds."

Regarding the new strategic partnership and expanded capabilities, Brent Repenning, vice president and general manager of Davey Resource Group summed it up by saying, "Our clients now have access to a greater level of information about the condition of their overhead assets. With it, they're empowered with new choices for remediation and the ability to deliver continuous reliability improvement. That's good for everyone."

Exacter, Inc. is a provider of patented outage-avoidance and Smart-Grid-enabling technology and services to the electric utility industry.
