None of the crew members aboard two whaling ships was injured in the disturbance that started from around 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Japan time where the group's ship approached unusually close to two Japanese ships attempting to pull up a captured whale, the agency said, strongly condemning the group. ---------- Meteor fragments injure around 1,200 in Russia MOSCOW - Fragments of a meteor struck the Russian region of Chelyabinsk and nearby areas on Friday morning, setting off a series of explosions and injuring around 1,200 people, according to local authorities. Many of the injured, including children attending classes, were hurt by broken glass, according to the emergency ministry. Korea as terror sponsor: official WASHINGTON - The United States is regularly assessing whether North Korea should be put back on the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism, but a careful review of the country's actions is needed, a U.S. official said Friday.
