Amcom to deliver Cisco's Hosted Collaboration Solution in Australia

Feb 19, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Amcom Telecommunications Limited, a telecommunications company, has announced an agreement with Cisco that will position it to deliver Cisco's Hosted Collaboration Solution, or HCS, into the Australian market.

HCS allows customers to unify their communications and deliver them with enterprise-grade security via the Cloud, over the Amcom National Network.

Amcom's CEO, Clive Stein, said: "This solution complements our existing offering and gives our enterprise customers the ability to unify all of their communications, including telephony and video conferencing, instant messaging, presence and having the ability to access them in real-time across any location or device. HCS also enables employers to capitalise on the transition to Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) workplaces and supports the shift to a more mobile workforce." Mr Stein, added: "HCS represents the next step for organisations that require the advanced features and flexibility of a Cloud based solution. HCS will be particularly attractive to a significant portion of the Australian telephony market with on-premise Cisco Call Manager Solutions." The services will be available to existing and new customers from around June 13, 2013.

Richard Kitts, vice president of Cisco Australia and New Zealand, said: "We are delighted to be teaming up with Amcom, as our vision for the market and business models are extremely complementary. Amcom has long been recognised for its delivery of innovative customer solutions and is a trusted brand with corporate and government customers." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
