Extended Learning Time Veteran Named Director of THINK Together's Sacramento Region Operation

Longtime community organizer and school district leader Esther Rosario has been tapped to lead the Sacramento offices of THINK Together as the Director of Regional Operations.
THINK Together, the state's largest nonprofit provider of academic support and extended learning time programs, currently operates academically oriented after school and summer programs at schools in the Sacramento and Elk Grove school districts.
"Expanding THINK Together's reach in the Sacramento area is a major part of our future plans," said THINK Together Founder and CEO Randy Barth. "The addition of Esther will be a major factor in that growth."
For nearly 20 years, Rosario has been a leading voice for extended learning time in the San Joaquin Valley, serving as a community activist and organizer as well as a Healthy Start coordinator.
Rosario previously served as Director of Health and Social Services with Riverbank Unified School District in Stanislaus County. In her position with Riverbank, she oversaw a district-led K-12 extended learning time program, supervised the district's social work initiative, and facilitated a community collaborative with social agencies, community stakeholders, health and mental services providers and wellness advocates.
In addition to her work as a community organizer and a Healthy Start coordinator, Rosario also worked in the Regional Lead After School Office with the Stanislaus County Office of Education. As an advocate for children and youth for underserved Central Valley communities, she lent her voice to After School as co-chair of the Leadership Team with the California Afterschool Network and as a board member with the California School-Age Consortium (CalSAC).
