Mentor Graphics acquires automotive technology platform of MontaVista SoftwareFeb 22, 2013 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Mentor Graphics Corporation, a provider of electronic hardware and software design solutions, has acquired automotive business unit of MontaVista Software, LLC, which includes the MontaVista automotive technology platform. MontaVista Software is a developer of embedded linux system software and development tools. Mentor and MontaVista are based in the US. Upon completion of the transaction, Mentor Graphics(R) automotive infotainment solution will feature the combined capabilities of the MontaVista automotive technology platform and the Mentor embedded infotainment base platform and will be paired with development tools including Sourcery (TM) CodeBench and Sourcery Analyzer.
