Spanlink Expands Cisco Contact Center Expertise by Hiring Janet Byron

MINNEAPOLIS, Mar 28, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Spanlink Communications, a leading Cisco contact center and customer collaboration solutions partner, announced today that Janet Byron, one of the original inventors of Cisco's Unified Customer Voice Portal (CVP), has joined the company as a senior solutions architect. In her new role, Byron will review and validate Spanlink's multifaceted Cisco collaboration design and deployment architectures, ensuring that the company delivers on its guarantee of providing solid and impactful solutions for customers. In addition, Byron's deep understanding of Cisco's contact center applications, coupled with her extensive trouble-shooting skills, will help Spanlink minimize risk and increase uptime for customers.

Byron, based in New Hampshire, joins Spanlink with more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, 10 of which were spent at Cisco focused primarily on its contact center and customer collaboration solutions. During her tenure at Cisco, Byron developed much of the code that ultimately became known as CVP. This widely deployed, award-winning product is a core component of Cisco's Unified Contact Center Enterprise solution. CVP is recognized as a market-leading, speech-enabled self service and call control application that helps drive reliable and cost effective customer care.

"We're committed to delivering rock-solid Cisco solutions that drive business results for our customers, so much so, that we guarantee it," said Spanlink CEO Eric LeBow. "Having someone join our team as accomplished as Janet, who has helped Cisco develop award-winning contact center applications and has been involved with some of the most complex Cisco deployments to date, drives this commitment to a new level. We couldn't be happier to have her on board and believe that both Spanlink and our customers will benefit because of it." "Spanlink was one of Cisco's first partners to deliver contact center solutions, so I've had the pleasure of working with them for quite some time now, and I've always been impressed with Spanlink's quality and dedication to delivery," said Byron. "The commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction that I saw while working with Spanlink really made me want to be a part of the team." Prior to Cisco, Byron was a software engineer and developed voicemail applications for Boston Technology, which later became Comverse. Before that she held software engineering positions at GTE Laboratories, which later merged with Bell Atlantic Corporation to form Verizon Communications, and Bellcore, now Telcordia Technologies. Byron graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Lowell.
