Amy Roberts to Lead Grant Thornton's Minneapolis Tax Practice
MINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)--
Grant Thornton (News - Alert) LLP named Amy Roberts, 45, as leader of the firm's
Minneapolis Tax practice effective immediately.

Roberts has served as the interim Minneapolis Tax co-practice leader,
along with Dan Bartholet, since fall 2011 and has been the Minneapolis
Federal Tax practice leader for five years. Bartholet will continue to
lead the Minneapolis State and Local Tax (SALT) and SALT Health Care
"Amy, with her vast knowledge and experience, has been integral in
leading the growth and driving the strategy of our Minneapolis Tax
practice while serving in an interim role during the past two years,"

With more than 20 years of experience at Grant Thornton, Roberts
provides a broad range of services to publicly and closely held
companies, including compliance, consulting and tax planning for both
business and individual tax issues. She has extensive experience working
with clients on tax structuring, acquisition and divestitures of
entities, and federal, state and local, and international tax
consulting. Roberts has served clients across a number of industries,
including medical device, manufacturing and distribution, technology and

retention and advancement of women into leadership positions. She is
also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is

Roberts received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Mankato State
University and a master's degree in business taxation from the
University of Minnesota.
