Silver Spring Networks Selected by Snohomish County Public Utility District for Distribution Automation (DA) Initiative

Silver Spring Networks, Inc. (NYSE: SSNI), a leading networking platform and solutions provider for smart energy networks, today announced it has been selected for the initial phase of a distribution automation project with Snohomish County Public Utility District (PUD), which serves more than 320,000 electricity and 20,000 water customers in northwestern Washington State. Leveraging Silver Spring's standards-based IPv6 networking platform and distribution automation solution, the Snohomish PUD program is designed to improve the reliability, efficiency, and resiliency of its distribution grid.
