Cloudburst Security Receives IT Security Services Contract by U.S. Mint


Jul 25, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Cloudburst Security, a Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) dedicated to protecting U.S. government networks and infrastructure from cyber threats, announced that they have been awarded a contract by the U.S. Mint.



According to the Company, the contract -- for the delivery of information technology (IT) security services -- is for a base and four option years for close to $6 million. Knowledge Consulting Group (KCG), a privately held cybersecurity firm in the U.S., is partnering with Cloudburst Security on this contract.

"Our consultants are recognized throughout the federal government for their high-quality security analysis and reporting," said Andrea Suzara Bennett, President of Cloudburst Security. "This particular project will include security compliance, operations, engineering and management services to support the protection of the U.S. Mint's IT infrastructure and enterprise." Under the terms of this agreement, Cloudburt Security noted that a team of IT security professionals will perform incident response, security testing, penetration testing, security engineering, as well as security auditing and compliance activities to meet the following objectives: -Address business/mission and IT security requirements for reducing risk and maintaining compliance for securing federal information systems -Decrease IT security incidents, as well as enhance IT security posture, data management and disaster recovery/continuity of operations backup in the distributed environment -Support mission/business initiatives in accordance with applicable IT security standards, laws and regulations -Maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems and data stored in the systems "We appreciate the partnership with Cloudburst Security and look forward to working with their seasoned consultants on this project," said Dusty Wince, Founder and CEO, KCG.
