Goodwin Procter Expands Private Equity Practice with Addition of Jared Jensen

Goodwin Procter, a national Am Law 50 firm, announced today that Jared G. Jensen has joined the firm's San Francisco office as a partner in its Private Equity Practice. Jensen joins Goodwin from Amazon.com (News - Alert) where he was Senior Corporate Counsel.

At Goodwin, Jensen will represent private equity firms, companies and management teams in leveraged buyout, growth equity and merger and acquisition transactions in a variety of industries, with a strong emphasis on the technology sector. This work will include take-private transactions, leveraged acquisitions of private and public companies, cross-border acquisitions, equity restructurings and minority investments in growth companies.

Prior to Amazon, Jensen was a partner with Kirkland & Ellis, and, previously, was an attorney with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Jensen received his J.D. from Harvard Law School where he was senior editor of the International Law Journal; he received his B.A. from Brigham Young University. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and New York.
