Smokey Bones to Open New Restaurant in Bay Shore, New York

Sep 30, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill announced its first new restaurant opening since 2006 to be located on Long Island in Bay Shore, New York.

According to a release, Smokey Bones' 66th restaurant (all company owned and operated) is set to fire up its grill in spring 2014.

The new 8,100-square-foot restaurant will feature the "New Look" of Smokey Bones and will be its second on Long Island, with a location currently in Ronkonkoma, New York. This new restaurant is part of a major renovation at Westfield South Shore Mall, and will be located next to Macy's. With a 365 guest seating capacity, this location will feature two open-air patio areas, along with newly designed, modernized brand elements throughout the restaurant.

"We have worked diligently over the past several months to re-emphasize the fun and edgy environment that makes Smokey Bones such a great dining destination," said Chris Artinian, President and CEO. "Our atmosphere, in conjunction with our focus on Service Excellence and Best in Food, has made Smokey Bones the 'go-to' in casual dining restaurants, as opposed to the 'me-too' within the heavily saturated category. This has enabled us to grow both internally, through our culture, and externally, as we identify and seek out restaurant opportunities in a number of markets throughout the country." Smokey Bones is a full-service bar and fire-grill restaurant that operates 65 locations in 17 states and employs nearly 4,000 people. It is owned by an affiliate of Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sun Capital Partners, whose portfolio of restaurants also includes Boston Market, Friendly's, Sweet Tomatoes, Fazoli's, Bar Louie, and other restaurant brands.
