PlayStation 4 Midnight Launch in UAE [T-break Tech (Middle East)]

(T-break Tech (Middle East) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) After nearly a month since it’s US launch – and that’s a lot of waiting – gamers in the UAE will finally be able to get their grubby hands on a PlayStation 4 this weekend. Sony’s next-gen home console launches on Friday, December 13 (perfectly auspicious), and to commemorate the occasion both local retailers Geekay Games and Virgin Megastores will be hosting midnight launches at their respective stores.

The PlayStation 4 will retail at AED 1699, along with a plethora of exclusive and third-party titles such as Killzone: Shadowfall, Knack, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, LEGO Marvels, NBA 2K14, FIFA 14, Need for Speed Rivals, etc., for approx. AED 299. PlayStation 4 accessories such as the PlayStation Camera (AED 299) and DualShock 4 controller (AED 269) will be available as well.

As with any high-profile launch, stocks will be severely limited and preference will be given to those have pre-ordered the system. However, those willing to try their luck might be able to score one as both Geekay Games and Virgin Megastores have confirmed that they have some reserve stock to accommodate day-one buyers.

PlayStation 4 launched on November 15 in the Americas, and on November 29 in UK. The system has sold more than 2.1 million units so far.
